Silver Salver: Match Report

Published on 21st April 2023

Today Pymble play Long Reef at Monash and despite expecting the worst weather wise, Friday was a glorious day with not a drop of rain.

When playing Monash it’s all about the greens.  Your long game counts for nothing really –  the fun begins from 10 metres out.  As one of our players said of her opponent, “she had the speed of the greens from the first hole”.  This was not so much the Pymble experience and despite our best efforts our first 3 players went down. Robyn Jackson won on the 18th and Annabel Clare squared.  Some played well and lost and some had very frustrating rounds after playing well days before.  Still that’s golf and our opponents were lovely and Monash is a beautiful course so really we can’t complain too much.
