Ladies Grade

The Women’s Grade Team played Pennant Hills in their second round at NSW today.
The players, Chris Adamsas, Jane Freeman, Lisa Banducci, Eddie Pierce and Sheila Eldridge set off with bags full of wet weather gear, extra towels etc anticipating wet and windy weather but praying that the dire weather forecasts would not eventuate. The banter was in full swing long before our tee time and the team seemed relaxed and looking forward to playing at NSW.
Our girls started off very well and we witnessed some beautiful golf. Pennant Hills proved to have some solid players and at about the halfway point it became clear that they were going to be tough to beat. Despite the weather gods shining upon us, it was not to be our day with Chris, Jane and Lisa going down in their matches. Sheila fought hard and took her match to the 18th only to have her opponent sink a 20ft putt to win the hole and the match. Congratulations to Eddie who played a great game and had a convincing 4/2 win. The overall result was a 4/1 loss.
Thank you to our caddies who worked hard today and our spectators.
Next week (Friday 26 Feb – 7.30am) Pymble will be hosting the Grade teams at home.
