From The Archives – Yarra Yarra Trophy
Published on 9th October 2019This Saturday we contest the Yarra Yarra Trophy. Reciprocal visits with Yarra Yarra Golf Club in Melbourne date from 1958. However, it is only in recent years, to mark the 75th anniversary of Pymble in 1999, that Yarra Yarra donated a trophy for competition between Pymble members.
The trophy is a silver tankard, it is kept in a glass-fronted wooden case along with a small bell, which is a replica of the “Pymble Bell” which was presented by PGC to Yarra Yarra on the occasion of that Club’s anniversary.
The competition is a stableford event, last year’s winner was John Seale.
