Our Eric Apperly Shield team started their season with an encouraging 5-1 win over Pennant Hills at Cronulla on Sunday.
We were represented by Ned Waddington, James Conran (Captain), Lachlan Chamberlain, Hayden Pike, Reid Brown and Will Ryan.
Cronulla is a tight course with small greens but our team adjusted to the course style really well and scored strong wins in their matches, the standout being Reid who got away to a quick start and never let up to win 9/8.
Hayden had a very tight match all the way and unfortunately lost the last to lose 1 down.
We have a bye next week before taking on the defending champions Bonnie Doon the following Sunday at Pennant Hills. We wish the team all the best.
