Although many of these practices are not part of the formal rules of golf, players are customarily expected to observe them:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>No one should move, talk or stand close to or directly behind the ball or the hole when a player is addressing the ball or making a stroke.<\/li>\n<li>A player is not to play until the players in front are out of<\/li>\n<li>Players are required to carry sand buckets. Through the green, a player should ensure that any turf cut or displaced is either replacedat once and pressed down or filled with Buckets should be returned to a collection point and not left in the car park or around the Clubhouse.<\/li>\n<li>Before leaving a bunker, a player should rake it smooth and <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">\u00a0<\/span>place the rake inside in the direction of play.<\/li>\n<li>Players should ensure that neither they nor their caddies damage the hole or green by standing close to the hole or in handling the The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before the players have left the green.<\/li>\n<li>Damage to the green by golf shoe spikes, pitch marks or other causes, made by a player or ball, must be carefully repaired before the players leave the green.<\/li>\n<li>Should a player need to cancel, it is customary practice at Pymble Golf Club to advise your playing partners via phone call or SMS within a reasonable timeframe.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>MISCORE APP<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The MiScore\u00a0mobile phone app is used at Pymble for scoring Stableford, Par, Stroke, or Best Ball competitions. Paper scorecards can still be used and are available at the Pro Shop.<\/p>\n<h2>BUGGIES &amp; MOTORISED CARTS<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Members and their visitors are required to comply with the following rules for buggies and motorised carts: \u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must not be driven on, or within ten metres of any green or between bunkers and greens, nor driven onto any teeing<\/li>\n<li>Must not be parked in front of<\/li>\n<li>Must be driven carefully, avoiding slopes on which the cart could<\/li>\n<li>Avoid damp or worn areas.<\/li>\n<li>Follow all directional signs and park carts in the designated areas or at the side of fairways.<\/li>\n<li>Do not transport more than two people in a cart.<\/li>\n<li>Wherever possible, carts are to be driven in the rough or off the closely mown portions, avoiding worn areas.<\/li>\n<li>When using carts, consideration must be given to other players.<\/li>\n<li>Cart drivers must hold a valid NSW Driver\u2019s Licence (or equivalent).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Heat<\/strong> \u2013 During some parts of the year, excessive heat is a cause for concern. During these periods, players must be aware of the inherent risk to their health if they play in such temperatures that could be viewed as dangerous.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Lightning <\/strong>\u2013 Play will not commence or will be suspended if there is lightning in the vicinity or forecasted to occur by the Bureau ofMeteorology.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Rain \/ Flood<\/strong> \u2013 At times the course may experience excessive rain with sudden downpours or prolonged rainstorms. This can result in thecourse or areas of the course being unplayable.Play will not commence or will be suspended if the course is considered unplayable with excessive water on greens surfaces and surrounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Heavy Frost<\/strong> \u2013 During the winter months the course and grounds can experience heavy frost. The potential problem with these conditions is walking on slippery surfaces and the damage that can be caused to greens, tees and fairways.Members are requested to be mindful of movements during heavy frosts, particularly in respect to cart tracks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Strong Winds<\/strong> \u2013 During severe winds there is a potential danger from falling trees, branches and debris being blown. When winds reach gale-force conditions, as determined by the Bureau of Meteorology, the course will be closed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Fog \u2013<\/strong> During the cooler months fog can be an extreme weather condition. The concern with fog is that a player\u2019s vision is impaired, and they cannot see the group in front, in turn creating a potential hazardous situation.
